Terry McCaleb

Terrell (Terry) "Terror" McCaleb is a fictional character featured in the novels of Michael Connelly.

Blood Work

Terry McCaleb was a relentless criminal profiler for the Federal Bureau of Investigation assigned to a field office in Los Angeles due to the frequency of his services being needed in the city. While tracking down "The Code Killer", McCaleb suffered heart trauma, to the extent that he needed an organ transplant. While recovering from his surgery, McCaleb is contacted by the sister of the woman whose heart was implanted in his body, Graciella Rivers. Frustrated by the stalled investigation of the Los Angeles Police Department, Rivers contacts McCaleb (who she suspects of being the recipient thanks to an article anonymously sent to her) and asks him to investigate her sister's murder.

A movie based on the novel and starring Clint Eastwood was released in 2002.[1]

A Darkness More Than Night

Graciella and Terry, now married and living on Catalina Island, are the proud parents of four month old CiCi (Cielo). When Harry Bosch is suspected of murder, McCaleb is called to help investigate the crime in order to determine who exactly is responsible.

The Narrows

When Terry McCaleb dies suddenly, his widow Graciella contacts Harry Bosch to discover what happened.
